I can’t say every Android phone user is also a PC user. There should be a lot of users using Android phones with their Mac. And as they first try to connect their phones to their computer, they realized it’s not as same as PC. Using an Android phone with Mac is very uncomfortable because its file transfer format, Media Transfer Protocol (MTP), doesn’t support Mac or Linux. As a result, I saw so many friends installing Windows on their Mac just to sync their datas with Android phones. The method I’m going to show still won’t let you sync full data, but at least be able to transfer files between Mac and Android phone.
Google provides ‘Android File Transfer for Mac’ which allows you to transfer data between your Mac and android phone. You can simply download this app from this link.
Android File Transfer for Mac is a very useful app if you are using Mac. It simply allows you to transfer files, but this is still a huge deal for Mac users for using Android smartphones. You still need to have Windows machine for upgrading your phone’s firmware and backing up specific datas. This app won’t change the fact you still need Windows. But you at least have a choice to make simple transfer now.
